Terms of Use

By downloading or using Mealens (the “app”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms are between you and Mealens; Apple is not a party to them, although Apple may enforce them as a third-party beneficiary.

Mealens is an iPhone app for tracking protein intake, body weight and GLP-1 medication doses. It calculates a suggested daily protein target from the weight and intention you enter, and suggests foods from a built-in nutrition database.

Nutrition values come from public reference data and are estimates. Real foods vary by brand, cut, preparation and portion. Use the numbers as a guide, not as a measurement.

Mealens is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and nothing in the app is medical advice. The protein targets it suggests are general estimates based on body weight, not a prescription.

If you are taking GLP-1 medication, your prescriber and your care team decide your treatment. Talk to them before changing how you eat, and never use the app’s dose log as a substitute for their instructions. In an emergency, contact emergency services.

Mealens is free to download and use. Mealens Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription offered weekly or annually. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy and vary by country.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings at any time.

We do not process payments and cannot issue refunds. Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple’s Media Services Terms.

Your food log, weight history and dose records are stored on your device, not on our servers. You are responsible for your own backups; if you delete the app or lose your device, that data is gone and we cannot recover it for you. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.

Use the app for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Do not reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the app’s source code or database, resell or redistribute it, or use it in any way that breaks applicable law.

The app, its name, its design and its content are owned by Mealens and protected by copyright and trademark law. These terms grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app — not ownership of it.

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and the accuracy of nutrition data. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they may not apply to you.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mealens is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page, and continuing to use the app after that date means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Chile, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence continue to apply.
